At about 2:46 to 3:00 I can hear a marvelous "burble" in the Panther sound.  Many North American train aficionados love that "burble, burble" sound coming from a 'fifties ALCO diesel as much as many love the "potato potato" sound of a Harley.  Here 'tis coming toward the recorder, getting to full "burble" toward the end of the 45 seconds: http://alcoworld.railfan.net/a452amfiklia.mp3
