Gra's A7V
« on: October 06, 2017, 12:43:12 PM »
OK we have some progress on Gra's A7V and as promised I would share this with you, so moving on I hope you all enjoy the pictures, the tank had been dissembled by Gra and has taken some figuring out how to be put back together and this is just the physical pieces, as for the wiring and electronics that's a whole other headache, but Robyn's brother is bit of an electronic whizz so he maybe able to sort that out. So the painting is getting there more washes and weathering to follow, also we may need to source some Heng Long plastic track links to suit T-34 one of each with guide horn and with out so if any of you have some to spare please PM me and will see about postage. OK many thanks and please enjoy  8) W

Awesome Wobbly,
Thanks for the update on this beast.

From memory, Graham mentioned to me that Kevin @ RCTA was helping with the Electronics, so he may be able to offer some help.

I admire your courage for taking on the project, Wobbly.  I will be cheering for you all the way.  In the end you will have a unique model with an interesting history, a memorial to Gra and a tribute to you.

I am afraid my T-34's (three of 'em, but I am not addicted to toys, right?) are all Taigen.

Nice to see the A7V back in the build...
Re the decals - have you tried the Revell Luftwaffe 1/32 RF4E Phantom, as they had large Maltese Crosses. 88344-0

So pleased this one has surfaced, Gra did some great scratch
built stuff, his Pantiger converted to a Panther was amazing!

Was going to put up a link, found it but sadly all the pic's are
lost to Photo bucket!

Crosses look great - it's amazing how much decals will bring a tank to life.

The beautiful thing about weathering is you can start light and proceed until you find something that fits.
