Tiger 1 idler adjuster
« on: May 07, 2015, 05:12:11 PM »
Hi Mark,
Can you give us some info on the new Tiger 1 idler adjuster u have just received. How does the idler fit onto the adjuster? Certainly looks a simple unit.
Cheers

Hi mate,
The idler certainly is a simple design. The idlers screw into each end of the tension adjuster and the end sections can be adjusted forward or back to suit track tension.
Mato are putting together instructions to include on their 'Assembly Instructions' page on their website.
I will be taking more pics from different angles of these myself to add to the shop :)
Cheers
Mark

Thanks Mark,
So you use the original idler screws with the self tapper type thread or new screws with the metric bolt type thread, if you get what I mean  ::)

Many thanks MP,
Be interesting to hear how they go after a few test runs etc...
Is that a metal or plastic plate on the back for the screw hole?

Cheers

Thanks guys. The cover for the screw access is the original plastic one off the back panel. I cut it off using cotton thread, then used evergreen to bring it back to thickness and for an alignment tube.
So far it works great. The local model train exhibition will test it. :-\
