A few additions to my Stug
« on: September 19, 2015, 12:20:17 PM »
Hello all! Remember me? I am that pain in the neck who can't leave anything as is. So the Stug was no different. I built this thing quite a long time ago and added a crude traverse setup to the main gun. I decided that it ws time to up the anty a bit though and make it something nice. So, I took it apart. Then I began to make a completely new trunion setup for it. Here are some photos and video for your amusement.

Wow!  What a fine modification/addition to the Stug III!  Now how does one slow down the movement? ...capacitors? ...resistors?

I am awed by your skill, and eager to see more.

Hey thanks so much for the kind words. I wanted to do this for some time now. As for slowing it down, the Elmod is programmable so no problem. if using a different system, then maybe use resistors or use motors with steeper gear ratio, as these are 50:1. Many options to get around stuff I think.

Cool looking stug, like the trunnion setup yellowshaker, should work well certainly solid, could do it for the JT as well.
