I agree, Damo, with the good idea to replace the dog with a round as if being loaded inside.  However, I also find the two fellows with the pup an interesting variation from the ordinary.  (Indeed, I have seen photos of tankers and, especially, airmen with dogs.)  Yet on a Stug III, one would expect a German Shepherd, no?  Regardless, please do gets us a photo of the two loading the round.

I am glad you posted the photo, Yobbo!  While there are many impressive builds on Hobby Havoc, I still enjoy FOBs: Fresh Out of the Box.  I am currently working on a 1/18 FlaK 88, and I am vacillating between Dunkelgelb and Dunkelgrau for it.  Just this week, I realized that I have passed over the Dunkelgrau versions of 1/16 RC tanks as "dull," a prejudice I now regret.

Some updated pics.

A couple of bedrolls attached to the T34 tracks.

Extra tracks attached to the frontal area.
Also the commanders periscopes painted blue to look glass like.

Replaced the rear mounted spare wheels with metal ones with rubber tread , looks far , far better.
Bucket on a chain and sundry stowage and spare track links.

Loader has a slight drinking problem and has a few stubbies strewn about.
Light dusting with a Tamiya pastels weathering kit and some drybrushing as well.

Not sure what to do with the intake vents?
Should I paint them?

Also , the keen eyed members will notice the whip aerial on the rear deck gone as I retrofitted a series 2 H/L 2.4ghz system into her.

Not rivet counting by any stretch coz I think it looks great, but you can also try Tamiya Acrylic Clear green X-25 or Smoke X-19 or other similar for the vision ports, generally in those days before ballistic glass was invented it was just heaps of layers/laminated glass or solid block and tended to have a green or black look to it. The Smoke X-19 is also good for oil/fuel spill stains too before a layer of dust, double use, gotta love that... :D

Cheers
Damo

Added some track on the rear end to hold a couple of captured US swags.

Added some nice metal tracks and idler , drive sprockets.

I also have the other type hubcap , which I prefer the look of , but don't think it belongs on a G model Stug?

Generic pic.

Also added new metal swing arms.
I painted the new sprockets Tamiya XF-24 Dark Grey as it was a better match then German grey.
Also painted the shiny silver tracks with Tamiya spray paint TS-38 Gun Metal.
The tracks look and sound great , especially with the hollow guide horns , very realistic looking.
