Not too sure Pete to be honest but they ran a 90mm gun similar to the pershing gun I think..... they were a fairly effective TD ...

Agreed - and they were quick - but with thinner armour than your enemy you would hope so.
Nice work Ken - I love that thing

 Love your ken.

As you might expect, Ken, as a Yankee I have a particular affection for the Zippo--unh, I mean, Sherman.  I now have an excellent local hobby shop (LHS) for armour and aircraft with a huge selection of paints and weathering supplies.  The shop is a little more than an hour's drive away, and I am able to get there when the local Armour Preservation Society meets.

I know you are busy (and the results prove it!).  But might you be able to list what you used to dust up the tank and weather the tracks?  The M36 has just the look I think is right--not too much weathering, but not too little.

Hey Ed
The dust effect I made up myself using European earth pigment powder, dark brown wash, pigment fixer and white spirits.... ;D

Ok here are some pics of the beast.... love this thing its my favourite tank at the mo... ;D ;D Just recently installed Clark recoil and trying Clarks servo elevation although I smoked 2 servo's so I reinstalled the Sherman elevation unit for the time being..

"The dust effect I made up myself using European earth pigment powder, dark brown wash, pigment fixer and white spirits.... "  Thank you, Ken.  The LHS has a MIG Ammo European Earth pigment powder in stock.  I will be there Friday.

Your Jagdtiger shows an interesting detail: I believe the MG has been re-angled downward, or, perhaps, it's an aftermarket metal accessory to go along with the clattering bucket and water cans you added.  Growl, growl, grind, squeak, clatter, BOOM!

I made all be it rough a brass MG mount that allows the gun to pivot up and down and also rotate around .... as per what it would do on a real one...

Cheers Ken

Gee, the Jagdtiger's machine gun doesn't look so "rough" to me Ken.  Rather, it is much more useful for you as you can pose it in different positions and even with a gunner.  And it is much more useful for the 120 mm tank crew, as driver doesn't have to keep turning the tank to follow the track of an Ilyushin II 2m3.

Gee how exposed would you feel hammering away on an MG42 with an
allied ground attack aeroplane diving down on you? I'd much rather be
behind one of those four barrel 20mm cannons, Flakvierling!

Yup another cool ride indeed, I personally and as of the crews of the time would not like to be around any of those fighter bombers of the time the IL 2 what a tough aircraft flying tank you may as well say and for rocket firing typhoons Mein Gott Nein!

Hey guys been looking at the JP thinking it needed something to give it a 1945/1946 sort of look.... so I made very rough mesh skirts to replace a couple of the standard ones and I gave it a bit more damage ... Hope you guys like....???????

Cheers Ken
