G.I. Combat comic.
« on: January 06, 2018, 12:28:05 PM »

Who remembers reading these?
I do , and I finally found a site to download and read them ALL for free.
It's a site called readcomiconline.

I started reading at issue 200 as that's when Jeb and the crew get there Sherman , which funnily enough only has a 4 man crew as , "Arch" , the bow gunner was somewhere in the past K.I.A. and wasn't to be replaced? Even though we see the bow gun firing a lot? Work that out?
Also the 75mm gun on this is REALLY powerful , cracks Tigers like there eggshells. LOL.
Sure does bring back a lot of good memories as even the period adds are reproduced.

I still have a collection of Commando comics stashed away in storage and a few of them are originals from the late 60's. Unfortunately I would use some of them as colouring in books when I was younger!

Ah Yes, Remember them well. "Mine Got" was my favourite saying at school back then. Sadly all were given to people in need in the 74 flood, so miss them. But alas, found that the Fairfield library in Bris has them. Brings back some childhood memories.
