ABRAMS ADOPTION....
« on: July 04, 2017, 07:26:49 PM »
OK, Looking a bit thin here on the Abrams front at the moment...

So....

I aquired this little fella, the original owner passed away and his son put her up for sale...

When I saw it I felt sort of sorry for it and thought it needed a good romp amongst the battlefield..

I got it for a tidy price, free postage and packing and a ffew bits of high quality stowage that included two roll of scale barbed wire.

Apparantly the former keeper was a keen modeller and up for an upgrade or two..

Its a big old beast and sits with a good air of menace..

Its a bog standard all plastic entry level BB shooter - I am still picking them out of the tracks -  :D

Nothing fancy so just the ticket for a bit of a rework..

Nice bit of detail out of the box..

I plan just to run it as at the moment untill I decide what version and paint scheme to go for ..

Oh and its 2.4 gig as well.

So I will be coming back to this one after a bit of plotting and research...

A HengLong Abrams was one of the first tanks I dirtied up a bit.  I put a small list of sources at http://www.hobbyhavoc.com/forum/index.php?topic=4591.0 .  Should you be interested, scroll down a bit for a short list of books on the Abrams and some advice from others.

Thanks guys,

Ed many thanks for the links Abrams links - they will prove to be very usefull !

Wobbly - I have a very healthy respect for the HE Abrams and the Leopard.

I think their secret is their simplicity and one you lose the rubber band tracks you are on a winner right off !
