G’day All

Just thought I'd let know that I was the original graphic artist behind these decal sheets (originally in partnership with John’s Stuff as a side line to his 1/6th scale items), these sets were originally created for 1/6th armour and then scaled down to suit 1/18th scale armour, they should in most cases be quite suitable for use on 1/16th scale items as well, especially the tactical marking sets.

When I created the graphics for these sheets, I tried to make the markings as accurate as I possibly could.

I have been an avid 1/18th scale collector, but have just entered into the 1/16th RC world with the purchase of a WSN Tiger I. I plan to use some of my creations on my both this and my still in transit HL Panther G.

I also know that within the 1/6th decal inventory that I created there was also a special Stug set in which I attempted to cover as many Stug units I could find, if there is enough interest I could contact Bradey at Monkey Depot and see if he wants me to scale these down as well?

Here are some of my decals in action on my custom 1/18th scale 21st Century Toys Tiger I Ausf E (late production):

I just bought a whole lot of these decals and they look GREAT. I'm very pleased with what I got.

Any chance of doing some more?  I've done a few designs not in your collection a stug is amongst them.

i'll post some example pics as soon as i get to my work puter.  yes the originals are in vector format.

cheers

Here's a sample.  The red 7 and penguin are from the 259th Stug Brigade, Bialystok, July 44.  I have also the 190th brigade's lion insignia and the 904th dragon in the pipeline.  Then there are the 505's knight and earlier bull and so on...

Ps before the politically correct pull me up yes I know it's not a penguin ....

G'day Phyrephish

We have to stop meeting like this or people will begin to talk Wink

Anyway here's a Lo-Res jpeg of the master image that I put together for Stug decal sheets, just to give you an idea of the unit coverage.

And just to be clear, I do not have any direct control over which of my former John’s Stuff artwork is reproduced at MD, however what has helped in the past is when potential buyers ask for particular items from my artwork Stock.

As the Stug stuff has to my knowledge not been offered as either a compilation or in the smaller scales to date, I would need to prepare the sheets for MD and therefore he would need to have enough external interest for this to happen.

If MD asks I am quite happy to put together a reduced scale version of the above Stug compilation and if necessary add addition artwork to them if this makes them more saleable. So it’s best if you contact Brady Miller at MD and ask for specifics and mention that you have been chatting with me (David) and then he may consider getting me to make up the sheets.

P.S. Thanks also for the recoil reply, not sure I totally understand what I supposed to do yet and will have to take a better look when I get home and have the beast sitting in front of me, but I’m sure your reply has raised plenty more noob questions before the nights out from this bunny.

G'day Panzermann

I take it this is what you are referring to?

I do not recall ever doing this one, but with decent refernce material I can knock up artwork for just abount anything.
