Well it came today.


And Seth just can't get enough, he browsed the catalogue over and over...


Project will start soon, this will keep me busy for months to come... hello rainy days!  ;D

are these models as well made as they claim as i am looking to get the low loader trailer to convert to tank transporter for my sherman km60

I understand,The Bruders are fun models.
Do you have any ideas for the track movement ,then the hydraulic system ?

Track movements are mostly electric motors with reduction gearbox on each sides, for the arms and bucket I plan to use servos modified to full rotation.

Pneumatics or hydraulics are out of the question  :P I've seen the prices and its waaaaaaaay too expensive  :-[

I saw it a few days back at the local mall, was staring at it really well and so many things came into my mind...

The only truck heads available from Bruder are the Scania, Volvo, the MACK and the Mercedes Benz. I can't put an old tank behind a modern truck and trailer.... Hmmm... makes me want to get an M1 or Leo  :-\


Also I've set aside a cheap 6-channel radio for the Excavator, this came from my sold Esky Belt CP helicopter, looks like i will be working on an all servo set-up :)
